Your browser encrypts your files with AES-256-GCM before they upload. The key is part of the link, so only people with the link can open them. For files you send, Strac sees the key only if you ask it to email the link for you.

Encrypted before upload
AES-256-GCM encryption runs in your browser, so the file Strac stores is unreadable on its own. The key is in the link, after the #.
Passcode protection
Add a passcode, and recipients need both the link and the passcode. 10 wrong guesses lock the link for 15 minutes.
Expiry and limits
Set an expiry of up to 90 days, a view limit and a download limit. The link expires at whichever limit comes first. When the link expires or reaches its download limit, we permanently delete the encrypted files within an hour.
Download log and revoke
See when someone downloaded each file, and from which IP address and browser. Changed your mind? Revoke the link in one click.
